DC Inning:

David Warner got a golden duck after 8 long years in IPL. However, Sarfaraz Khan and Mitchell Marsh did not bother about that and scored at a brisk rate to turn the pressure on the Kings. Sarfaraz played an exciting inning of 32 off 16. Once Sarfaraz has dismissed, the scoring took a hit since Lalit Yadav could not get going straight away.

Mitchell Marsh, from the one end, kept sending the foul balls to boundaries to keep his team moving forward with a decent run rate. Lalit was dismissed on 24, and Rishabh Pant joined Marsh in the middle. However, Pant lasted only three balls in the game.

Marsh and Axar Patel somehow managed to take Delhi to 159/7 in 20 overs.

PBKS Inning:

Punjab kings had an explosive start as Jonny Bairstow dominated the bowlers in the first 3 overs. However, Anrich Nortje sent him back to put a stop to the run flow. Thakur was brought into the attack, and he removed Dhawan and Rajapaksa in one over to shift the game towards Delhi.

After that, spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav weaved their magic on the field. Axar bowled an exceptional spell of 2 wickets for 14 runs while Yadav took 2 wickets in the 3 overs he bowled in the game.

Jitesh Sharma played a valiant knock of 44 off 34, but it was not enough for Punjab kings to win the game.
