IPL 2022, GT VS RCB: Predicted Playing XIs, Fantasy XI, Predicted Winner

GT vs RCB, the 43rd game of Tata IPL 2022, is scheduled to be played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai from 7:30 PM IST on 30 April 2022.

Team Updates:

Gujarat Titans are at the top of the table with 7 wins in 8 games. The Titans have found ways of winning from unimaginable game situations. Their middle order consisting of David Miller, Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan, has been a fierce force to deal with for the opponents. Each of them has produced magical innings on different occasions to take GT home. Everything seems to be going GT’s way in the tournament.

Hardik Pandya has also been fabulous with both bat and ball. His decision to bat at three has greatly benefited him. He has taken his time to get settled down and bash the bowlers later on. Wriddhiman Shah’s return to form is also a plus point. However, they would want Shubman Gill to rejoin the party as soon as possible with a great knock. On the bowling front, they look complete as a unit, with Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson and Rashid Khan leading the charge. They had a bad game with the ball against SRH, but other than that, GT has looked composed with its bowling line-up.

Meanwhile, RCB has suffered a twist of fate in the last two games. Back to back batting collapses must have dampened their confidence as a unit in the tournament. Their biggest worry is the inconsistency of the batting department. Despite looking good, Faf du Plessis, Glenn Maxwell, and Shahbaz Ahmed have failed to be consistent.

Dinesh Karthik has also suffered in the previous two games due to too much pressure being piled upon by the failure of the top-order. One thing that they rest assured about is their bowling. Josh Hazlewood, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga and Mohammed Siraj have all been among the wickets in the tournament. Lastly, the biggest thing that RCB needs is Virat Kohli’s bad luck to drown out so that the run-machine finally justifies his skills.
