KKR vs RR, the match 30th of Tata IPL 2022, is scheduled to be played at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai from 7:30 PM IST on 18 April 2022.
Team Updates:
Kolkata Knight Riders have had their moments, but they are yet to find the optimum level of their gameplay. Top-order not scoring runs is a big worry for them. Captain Shreyas Iyer has also failed to play a big inning in the tournament. Andre Russell, Sam Billings and Pat Cummins in the lower order have looked good, but they have been asked to do too much at the end.
Sunil Narine is again fantastic with his tight bowling, but Varun Chakravarthy, the mystery spinner, has disappointed this year. KKR’s death bowling is also a big worry because Cummins and Yadav, both of their premium fast bowlers, are more suitable to bowl upfront with the new ball.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have similar worries to KKR. Royals are putting too much burden on Jos Buttler and Shimron Hetmyer. Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal and Riyan Parag have not found the touch yet. However, Buttler and Hetmyer have been excellent, but they are bound to have a bad day sooner or later. Royals need the skipper to step up and take responsibility with the bat.
Trent Boult will be back in the Royals playing XI after missing out in the previous game due to a niggle. Barring Boult, Rajasthan has no threatening fast bowler. Nevertheless, Yuzvendra Chahal, this edition’s purple cap holder, has done an excellent job in the middle overs with Ravi Ashwin for the Royals.
