PBKS vs SRH, the 28th match of the tournament, was about Sunrisers asserting dominance in the ongoing tournament.

SRH have bounced back and turned around its campaign completely, with Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram emerging as their key players.

    PBKS vs SRH Highlights:

Kane Williamson won the toss and asked Punjab to bat first in the game. It was also revealed that Mayank Agarwal missed out on the game due to some niggle. In his absence, Shikhar Dhawan took the reigns of captaincy.

    PBKS Inning:

Famous for their fiery approach, Punjab Kings had a timid opening stand between Dhawan and Prabhsimran. Dhawan scores 8 off 11, while Prabhsmiran could only muster 14 off 11. Johnny Bairstow, too was unimpressive with his inning of 12 off 10.

At 48-3, Punjab was in deep trouble, but that did not stop Liam Livingstone from playing his shots. Wickets kept falling at the other end, but Livingstone continued his assault. He scored 60 off 33, including 5 fours and 4 sixes, before getting out on the last ball of the 19th over.

The 20th over of Punjab’s inning was all about Umran Malik. Punjab lost four wickets in the last over and could not add even a single run to their total. Malik bowled a phenomenal maiden in the 20th over of the game. Absolute top-class stuff by the young gun.

Punjab Kings finished on 151/10 in 20 overs.

    SRH Inning:

Sunrisers again suffered from the lack of intent by Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma during the powerplay. Williamson scored 3 off 9, and Sharma contributed 31 off 25.

Rahul Tripathi was fabulous with the bat and counterattacked the Kings’ bowlers to put SRH back in the hunt for the chase. Tripathi notched up 34 off 22, comprising 4 fours and a six.

Markram and Pooran comfortably finished the job for SRH as both of them remained unbeaten in the chase. Markram scored 41* off 27 while Pooran gathered 35* off 30 to take Sunrisers home in the PBKS vs SRH contest.
