IPL 2022 Playoffs, Qualifier 1, GT VS RR: Miller’s hat-trick of sixes seals a spot in the finals for GT

IPL 2022, Qualifier 1 was an exciting game that ended with three monstrous sixes from David Miller to take his side into the tournament’s finals.

GT required 16 runs off the last over due to an excellent over from Obed McCoy in the 19th over of the chase. Sanju Samson handed the ball to Prasidh Krishna to bowl the final over and seal the deal for his team.

However, Killer Miller had other plans as he hit a hat-trick of sixes on the first three balls off the last over to guide his team to the finals.

He absolutely crushed the hopes of Rajasthan Royals with his towering sixes that silenced all the RR supporters in the stand.

David Miller started his knock with an unusual sluggishness but later capitalised on the deliveries to make up for his slow start.

Hardik Pandya also remained unbeaten with 40* off 27 to register the victory for his team in the qualifier 1 against RR.

Shubman Gill and Mathew Wade did exceptionally well to set the platform for Pandya and Miller after Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed for a golden duck in the match.

Earlier in the qualifier 1, Rajasthan Royals went on a carnage with Sanju Samson taking the lead in the first six overs of their inning.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was dismissed cheaply by GT, but Samson did not let this faze his concentration as he smashed the bowlers all around the park.

Samson registered 47 off 26, which included 3 massive sixes. After Samson’s dismissal, Jos Buttler took on the reins and launched an all-out attack.
