IPL 2022, RR VS PBKS: Predicted Playing XIs, Fantasy XI, Predicted Winner

RR vs PBKS, the 52nd game of Tata IPL 2022, is scheduled to be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai from 3:30 PM IST on 7th May 2022.

Team Updates:

Rajasthan Royals have suffered two consecutive losses in the previous two games. They are stuck with 12 points on the board and need to get a move on to secure their place in the playoffs. On the other hand, Punjab Kings have been synonymous with inconsistency in the tournament. Kings won their previous game against Gujarat Titans and would look to gain momentum finally in the tournament.

Rajasthan Royals were riding on the success of Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal. However, both of them have not fulfilled their potential in the last three games. Sanju Samson has been highly inconsistent, but a half-century in the last game must boost his confidence. Devdutt Padikkal at the top has been totally ineffective, and perhaps now is the time to make a change in the playing XI.

Meanwhile, Punjab Kings are trying to find the opening combo which can give them a blazing start. Whether they will pursue Johnny Bairstow at the top remains to be seen. Liam Livingstone and Bhanuka Rajapaksa have been their ace batters in the tournament. But they need Mayank Agarwal to shoulder the responsibility as well.
