Rajasthan Royals have done an excellent job in the Tata IPL auction to build a squad satisfying all three departments of cricket. Both their batters and bowlers are performing well, and they have won two consecutive matches in the Tata IPL 2022. Jos Buttler scored the first century of this year’s edition of IPL against Mumbai Indians to announce that Rajasthan is the team to beat in IPL 2022.
The bowling duo of Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna is doing wonders for them, and Yuzi Chahal and R Ashwin in the middle overs are a threat to deal with for the opposition. The only area where Rajasthan Royals are a bit vulnerable is their batting depth. Riyan Parag, in the final few overs, has failed to leave a mark in the previous two games.
On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore will still miss the services of Glenn Maxwell in the middle order. But the batting order consisting of Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik can turn the match on their own in any given situation. Faf du Plessis had an exceptional first game, and Virat Kohli batted with good intent. But the most positive thing for RCB is Karthik’s explosive batting in the death overs.
In the absence of Josh Hazlewood, RCB lacks depth in the bowling department, but Harshal Patel and Mohammed Siraj have shown that Bangalore can rely on them in difficult circumstances. Their bowlers were phenomenal against Kolkata Knight Riders, and RCB would want their bowling unit to perform the same in RR vs RCB clash.
