IPL 2023 is all set to witness history as the match between Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals on Sunday, April 30, will mark the 1000th match of the tournament, and to make this match special, BCCI is planning a grand celebration. An event management company has been contracted by the IPL for the job.

Both Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals have been a part of this tournament since its inauguration. MI is the most successful team in the history of the championship. The Mumbai-based team have won five titles in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. Whereas, on the other hand, Rajasthan Royals was the winner of the inaugural edition of this league.

After 2019, the 2023 season was the first time that the BCCI held a grand opening ceremony for IPL. Big superstars like Arijit Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandanna set the stage on fire in the opening ceremony of IPL 2023.

Arijit Singh performed songs from “Raazi,” “83,” and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. Tamannaah Bhatia took the stage after Arijit finished his performance, dancing to the songs “Tum Tum” from “Enemy” and “Tune Maari Entriyaan” from “Gunday”. Rashmika Mandanna followed in the footsteps of Bhatia and continued the evening’s southern theme by dancing to “Naatu Naatu” from “RRR”.
