In the 12th match of the Indian Premier League 2023, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will be face-to-face today i.e. on April 8 (Saturday) at the Wankhede stadium. However, with less than a few hours left for the match to begin, bad news has struck the MI camp. MI’s gun bowler Jofra Archer is injured and he may not be able to play this match.
Former Indian team cricketer S Badrinath has shared this information with the fans on his YouTube channel. According to Badrinath, during the net session of Mumbai Indians on Friday, Jofra was hit on the elbow due to which he will hardly be able to take part in the match against Chennai Super Kings. Let us tell you that if Jofra Archer is not fit for this match, then the tension of captain Rohit Sharma can increase a lot, because the team’s gun bowler Jasprit Bumrah has already been ruled out of the tournament.

The atmosphere of tension is not only in the camp of Mumbai Indians, but a bad news has also come out from the camp of Chennai Super Kings. According to reports, CSK’s star all-rounder Ben Stokes appeared troubled by heel pain during practice, due to which he could be out of the tournament for about ten days.
It is worth mentioning that in IPL 2023 so far Chennai Super Kings have played a total of 2 matches out of which they have won one and lost one. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians have played just one match in which they were defeated by Royal Challengers Bangalore by 8 wickets. Talking about the face-to-face competition between CSK and MI, so far a total of 34 matches have been played between these two teams, out of which Mumbai Indians have won 20 and Chennai Super Kings have won 14 matches.
