Here are three player battles to watch out for during CSK vs PBKS match:

1) Devon Conway vs Arshdeep Singh

Devon Conway’s golden run came to a halt against RR, where he was dismissed for just 8 runs off 16 balls. Prior to this game, he had scored four consecutive fifties. Conway will look to get back to his scoring ways when he faces Punjab. However, he will have to deal with the skill of Arshdeep Singh, who has been effective in the powerplay overs, taking down several batters. The contest between these two will set the tone for the match.

2) Ravindra Jadeja vs Sam Curran

Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran played crucial roles in CSK’s title win in 2021. This time, the two left-handed all-rounders will face each other. Jadeja’s bowling has been exceptional this season, making headlines in a format where his batting usually takes center stage. Curran, the most expensive IPL player of all time, has shown his all-round skills, justifying his price tag. The two top-tier all-rounders will want to prove their superiority in this contest.

3) Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Kagiso Rabada

Ruturaj Gaikwad started the tournament with a bang but has since gone under the radar. Although he has had good starts, he has failed to convert them into substantial innings. Gaikwad will be eager to play a big knock against Punjab but will face the challenge of Kagiso Rabada. In their brief encounters in international cricket, Rabada has troubled Gaikwad. Rabada will look to restrict Gaikwad’s movements and target his body. It remains to be seen if Gaikwad can rise to the challenge and overcome the South African’s skills.
