Kedar Jadhav, the veteran Indian all-rounder, has recently voiced his support for Ruturaj Gaikwad, backing the young batsman for a consistent run in the Indian cricket team after the 2023 ODI World Cup. Gaikwad has been in fantastic form in the 2023 Indian Premier League, and Jadhav believes that he is a promising young talent who can dominate in international cricket across all formats.

Kedar Jadhav, an IPL expert and commentator on JioCinema, praised Gaikwad’s performances in domestic cricket and the IPL, saying, “Ruturaj is a very quality player, and I feel after the World Cup, he should get consistent chances, the way he has performed across formats, be it Ranji Trophy or T20s with the IPL. I do think he is a promising young talent.”

Jadhav also believes that Gaikwad is the best option as the Chennai Super Kings’ captain after MS Dhoni retires, as he is a strong candidate to succeed him. Jadhav added that while Ben Stokes is also a contender to lead the side, his availability is a major concern. Jadhav represented the Chennai-based franchise from 2018 to 2020, and he believes that Gaikwad has the potential to lead the team in the future.
