Here are three player battles to watch out for during DC vs PBKS match:
1) Shikhar Dhawan vs Khaleel Ahmed
In order to break the backbone of PBKS, Khaleel Ahmed will aim to dismiss their mainstay Shikhar Dhawan as soon as possible. So far, Khaleel has dismissed Dhawan once in six IPL meetings and also curbed his scoring rate. Dhawan has managed only 22 runs off him at a strike rate of 95.65. This season, he has been dismissed three times in the Powerplay.
2) Mitchell Marsh vs Jitesh Sharma
The upcoming clash between Mitchell Marsh and Jitesh Sharma promises to be a thrilling encounter at the death overs. It remains to be seen whether the batting prodigy Sharma can outsmart the in-form Marsh or if Marsh can dismiss him cheaply. This is definitely a match-up to keep an eye on!
3) David Warner vs Arshdeep Singh
David Warner has a strong record against PBKS, and they will look to dismiss him early. Arshdeep Singh may trouble the Australian with the new ball, but he has never dismissed Warner in five IPL innings. Warner, in fact, has scored 45 runs against him at a strike rate of 150. The DC skipper has been dismissed four times in the Powerplay this season.
