    The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Gujarat Titans (GT) clashed in a breathtaking encounter during the final league game of IPL 2023. Following GT’s nerve-wracking win, Hardik Pandya, the GT skipper, commended his teammates for their incredible composure and calmness in the high-pressure moments. Pandya expressed his admiration for the team’s unwavering focus throughout the match.

    Reflecting on their approach, Hardik Pandya highlighted the importance of building partnerships and keeping the scoreboard ticking. He specifically praised Shubman Gill for his ability to play elegant and effective cricketing shots, which not only boosted his own confidence but also inspired the other batsmen in the team.

    While acknowledging that their bowling performance fell short, as RCB managed to post a challenging total of 197 runs, Hardik Pandya expressed satisfaction with the team’s overall character and effort. He recognized the exceptional innings played by Virat Kohli but conceded that they may have executed their death overs strategy prematurely.

    Recalling their successful campaign in the previous year, Hardik Pandya acknowledged the higher expectations placed on their team this season. He anticipated stronger challenges from their opponents and believed that GT had displayed remarkable character and resilience throughout the tournament.

    “The calmness which the boys had was terrific. We wanted to maintain the momentum and keep ticking the balls. Shubman’s cricketing shots are a game-changer. He plays with confidence and sets the tone for the entire team,” said Hardik Pandya.

    “While we would have taken 197 at the start, our bowling performance wasn’t up to the mark. Virat played a special innings, but we may have gone for the death overs too early. Nonetheless, I couldn’t ask for more from the team. Last year, everything went smoothly for us, and this season, we expected tougher challenges. The boys have displayed tremendous character,” he added.
