Gujarat Titans, on April 29, took the revenge of their previous defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders. In yesterday’s game between GT and KKR, Batting first, KKR set a big target of 180 runs on the back of a 39 ball 81 from Rahmanullah Gurbaz. While chasing, GT didn’t face and difficulty and chased down the target easily by losing just 3 wickets. Vijay Shankar scored an unbeaten 24 ball half-century in the run chase.
After the match, GT’s captain Hardik Pandya revealed his conversation with Yash Dayal after the pacer was hit for five back-to-back sixes in their previous fixture against KKR.
“I was not well in that game, but without me saying, Vikram Solanki was like, ‘we will have a get together today’. Because our thing is simple, when we lose, we will have get togethers. I told him (Yash Dayal), “I know it stings right now. But this is a one-in-a-million game, everyone will remember you!’,” Hardik said before breaking into a chuckle.

“It was a diffcult game to lose. But the good thing about us is we don’t put anything under the carpet,” Hardik further said, before mentioning that Dayal, as well as the other members of the side, soon returned to jolly mood and even danced in the dressing room hours after the KKR defeat.
Yash Dayal hasn’t featured in any of the games for GT after that incident. Hardik Pandya, just a few days back, stated ‘illness’ as the reason behind it.
