Only a few days are left for the start of IPL 2023, but before that Chennai Super Kings, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, and Lucknow Super Giants, captained by KL Rahul, have suffered a major setback. The play of CSK pacer Mukesh Choudhary and 24-year-old Lucknow pacer Mohsin Khan has become questionable this season. Both these fast bowlers made their debut for their respective teams in IPL 2022, but due to injury, they are finding it difficult to play this season.
In the last IPL season, Mukesh Choudhary and Mohsin Khan managed to impress everyone with their pace and passion for the game. They were bought by their franchises at a base price of Rs 20 lakh each.
CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan while speaking to Cricbuzz said, “We’re waiting on Mukesh Choudhary, but we don’t have much hope. He was one of our bowling mainstays last year. It will be unfortunate if he misses out.”
CSK pacer Mukesh Choudhary is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his back injury at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Mukesh has told Cricbuzz, “I’m good and hope to get well soon.” On the other hand, talking about Mohsin Khan, last season he played 9 matches for Lucknow in which he bowled well with an economy rate of 5.97 and took 14 wickets.
