    IPL 2023 has brought in the new Impact Player rule, which is making a lot of noise. Yesterday Tushar Deshpande became the first-ever impact player in the IPL, and since then, each IPL team has used the benefits associated with the new rule.

    The Impact Player rule allows a team to name five substitutes at the time of the toss who can replace a player in the playing 11 of the team during the match. However, the substitute can only come in when there is a wicket, innings break or an over break.
