IPL 2023: Is Jos Buttler & Yashasvi Jaiswal the best opening batting combo this year?

Can Jos Buttler & Yashasvi Jaiswal Deliver as RR's Best Opening Batting Combo in IPL 2023?

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is set to kick off, and the Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) opening batting combination is sure to raise a few eyebrows this season. With Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal opening the batting, RR could potentially have the best opening combo in the tournament.

Both Buttler and Jaiswal have been in fine form leading up to the IPL 2023 season. Buttler, the England captain, is known for his explosive batting and rarely goes out of form. Meanwhile, Jaiswal has been knocking on the national team’s doors, impressing in domestic cricket and India A matches.

Jos

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Jaiswal scored 396 runs with an average of around 80. He also had a remarkable strike rate of 141.48 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, scoring 266 runs. Jaiswal also smashed a scintillating century for India ‘A’ in the two-Test series against Bangladesh ‘A’. With such performances, it’s clear that he is a young talent to watch out for.

The combination of Buttler and Jaiswal is lethal. Both of them are equally explosive and make the best use of the powerplay overs every season. They don’t need to complement each other; they are both equally capable of putting bowlers to the sword.
