The Kolkata Knight Riders look to bounce back against RCB after their opening match defeat

The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) may have lost their first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), but head coach Chandrakant Pandit still has faith in his team. Despite missing the services of senior batters Shreyas Iyer and Shakib Al Hasan, Pandit believes that the Kolkata Knight Riders still have a strong squad.

IPL 2023 | KKR vs RCB: KKR head coach Chandrakant Pandit remains confident in team's abilities despite missing key players

In the absence of Iyer, Nitish Rana has taken over the captaincy, and Jason Roy has been announced as Shakib’s replacement. But according to Pandit, every player on the team is capable of making an impact, and the team won’t depend on a single player to win the match.

Pandit also said that one cannot judge the players on the basis of just one match, and he is confident that the KKR can bounce back in their upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 6. The KKR were in the game till the last over of their first match, despite the batters not having a great day with the bat.

Despite the absence of key players, the KKR will look to put up a fight and emerge victorious in front of their home crowd. With Pandit’s unwavering confidence in the team and the players’ abilities to perform, the match is sure to be an exciting one. Don’t miss the action on April 6!
