Lucknow Super Giants struggled in the powerplay, but Kyle Mayers changed the game’s momentum with his attacking batting after the powerplay. Mayers, who filled the void left by Quinton de Kock’s absence, smashed 7 sixes in his knock of 73 runs off 38 balls before being dismissed by Axar Patel. Rilee Rossouw tried to play a good cameo, but managed only 30 off 20. Ultimately, Delhi Capitals fell short by 50 runs.
