Following Lucknow Super Giants’ devastating loss to Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis shared his method of resetting himself in a lighthearted conversation with LSG bowling coach Morne Morkel. Stoinis explained how he took a different approach to reset himself, which led to a stunning comeback in their next match against Punjab Kings.
Stoinis took a five-day break and went to Delhi with his girlfriend and Deepak Hooda. The trio did some training with coaches and net bowlers and visited Hooda’s training center. Stoinis described the experience as “a nice reset” and “nice to get back to the grassroots and why we are playing.”

Stoinis’ performance was instrumental in the win, earning him Player of the Match honors for his 72 off just 40 deliveries. He spoke about his injury after the game, saying he dislocated his finger and will undergo a scan to determine the damage.
Lucknow Super Giants’ next match will be against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 1 in Lucknow. With Stoinis’ unique way of resetting himself and his impressive form, LSG will look to continue their winning streak and climb up the IPL points table.
