IPL 2023 | MI vs CSK: Aakash Chopra predicts Mumbai Indians to win against Chennai Super Kings in today’s IPL Clash

Former Indian cricketer and commentator, Aakash Chopra, predicts a victory for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He anticipates that Mumbai will finally open their account in the tournament with a win against their arch-rivals.

Former Indian cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra has made a bold prediction for the upcoming Mumbai Indians (MI) versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 8th. According to Chopra, MI will finally open their account and come out victorious against their archrival CSK.

Jofra Archer

Chopra believes that the pitch at Wankhede Stadium will provide a lot of help for the fast bowlers with bounce and pace, similar to the India-Australia ODI from the recently concluded three-match series. He expects Jofra Archer and Deepak Chahar to pick up three or more wickets, with Archer bowling with the new ball to take the important wickets of Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad early in the innings.

Deepak Chahar

Furthermore, Chopra predicts that MI batters Suryakumar Yadav and Cameron Green will contribute with the bat, together scoring 65 or more runs. He expects a high-scoring encounter, with at least 10 sixes hit during the match.

MI lost their first match of the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore, while CSK is coming off a victory against Lucknow Super Giants in a high-scoring encounter at home. Chopra believes that this is the surface that will bring out the best in Chahar, who has had an ordinary tournament so far.

Devon and Gaikwad

The cricketer-turned-commentator expects whoever wins the toss to bowl first, given the chasing bias at Wankhede Stadium. Chopra’s prediction is sure to add to the excitement and anticipation around the upcoming match between the two most successful franchises in the IPL.
