Here are three player battles to watch out for during PBKS vs DC match:

1) Axar Patel vs Arshdeep Singh

Axar Patel has emerged as a crucial finisher for DC this season, amassing an impressive 130 runs in the death overs. His ability to score valuable runs in crunch situations has played a pivotal role in DC’s success. However, he will face a formidable challenge in the form of Arshdeep Singh, one of India’s finest death bowlers. Arshdeep has been effective in picking up seven wickets in the death overs this season, but he has also conceded some runs. The battle between Axar Patel’s big-hitting prowess and Arshdeep Singh’s bowling skills promises to be an enthralling contest.

2) Liam Livingstone vs Kuldeep Yadav

Liam Livingstone has had his struggles against leg-spinners in the middle overs, and Kuldeep Yadav may look to exploit that weakness once again. In his IPL career, Livingstone has been dismissed by leg-spinners on seven occasions in 17 innings, with a strike rate of 117.64. Kuldeep Yadav, on the other hand, has been impressive in the middle overs, claiming nine out of his ten wickets in that phase this season. The battle between Livingstone’s determination to overcome his struggles and Kuldeep Yadav’s quest for breakthroughs adds an intriguing subplot to the larger contest.

3) Shikhar Dhawan vs Ishant Sharma

Shikhar Dhawan has been a prolific run-scorer against DC in the IPL, accumulating 675 runs. However, his primary challenge in the upcoming match will be facing Ishant Sharma with the new ball. In their previous encounters, Dhawan has been dismissed twice by Ishant, managing only 36 runs off 30 balls. Furthermore, in IPL 2023, Dhawan has fallen four times in the Powerplay in nine innings, showcasing the significance of the early battle. The clash between Dhawan’s quest to dominate the Powerplay and Ishant Sharma’s determination to break his rhythm sets the stage for an intriguing duel.
