IPL 2023: RCB Captain Faf du Plessis fined Rs.12 lakhs for slow over rate

Faf du Plessis fined 12 lakh rupees.

Monday night (April 10) was like a double whammy for Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf Duplessis. Firstly, his team lost the game, and secondly, after the match, he was fined Rs 12 lakh due to slow over rate.

In the Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match played on Monday night, when LSG batsman Marcus Stoinis and then Nicholas Pooran were tearing apart RCB bowlers, RCB captain Faf du Plessis was constantly changing fields, bowlers and tactics. During this he wasted a lot of time. The result was that RCB could not touch the minimum number of overs bowled on time. In such a situation, after the match, the IPL committee fined him.
