Royal Challengers Bangalore’s star bowler Reece Topley has been ruled out of IPL 2023 with a shoulder injury. RCB’s batting coach Sanjay Bangar confirmed that Topley needed treatment and has been sent back home for the same, while he also confirmed that Josh Hazlewood would join up with RCB on April 14.

Now that Reece Topley has been ruled out of the entire tournament, the question arises, who will replace him in RCB’s squad. As per reports, RCB is in talks with Matt Henry as Reece Topley’s replacement.
Matt Henry is known for his express pace. Henry can partner with Mohammed Siraj and Harshal Patel to trouble the opposition batters in RCB’s pace attack. He has represented the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL before.
Topley had dislocated his shoulder while bowling against Mumbai Indians. He bowled two overs against the five-time champions, picking a crucial wicket of Cameron Green.
