Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans were left heartbroken as one of their star batters, Rajat Patidar, has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 due to an Achilles heel injury. This latest development is a massive blow to the RCB squad, who were hoping that Patidar would be able to play some games in the ongoing tournament.
Patidar’s injury had already put him in doubt for the league even before it kicked off. However, he joined the RCB camp for the season, and fans had their fingers crossed that he would be able to play. Unfortunately, after undergoing MRI scans for his injury, it was deemed that he is unfit to play, and the reports from the scans were not good.

RCB’s official Twitter account announced the news and wished Patidar a speedy recovery. The team also confirmed that they have not yet named a replacement for Patidar. Last year, Patidar was the third-highest run-scorer for RCB, scoring 333 runs in seven innings at a strike rate of 152.75. So, his absence will undoubtedly be felt by the team.
RCB started their IPL 2023 campaign with a bang, winning their first match against Mumbai Indians by eight wickets. However, their next match will be against Kolkata Knight Riders, and they will undoubtedly feel the absence of Patidar.

With such a star-studded squad, RCB will undoubtedly aim to bounce back from this setback and continue to deliver exceptional performances in the tournament.
