Faf du Plessis, the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, recently opened up about his childhood friendship with star batter AB de Villiers. According to Faf, AB was always a god-gifted player who caught everyone’s attention with his brilliant batting skills and power-hitting abilities.

The two South African cricketers were classmates and roommates at Affies from 1998-2002. In a recent interview with the RCB podcast, Faf revealed that they were initially rivals in primary school, but their competitive relationship eventually blossomed into a lifelong friendship.
