On Sunday (April 2), at the M Chinnaswami Stadium in Bangalore, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face off against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the fifth match of the Indian Premier League 2023.

IPL 2023 RCB vs MI: Updated Points Table Before Today's Match

RCB, who had finished on fourth spot in the last edition with eight victories out of 14 games will be led by last year’s skipper Faf du Plessis.

MI, on the other hand, finished on tenth spot in the last edition with four victories out of 14 games in the league stage. This year they will look to finish off in a better and known way, and Rohit Sharma will be captain of the team.

  • The upcoming edition of IPL will have two groups: Group A and Group B.
  • Group A will consist of Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants.
  • Group B will consist of Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans.
  • In total, there will be 14 matches for each of the 10 teams, consisting of seven home and seven away games. The teams will face the five teams from the opposing group two times each, while they will play against the other four teams from their own group only once.
  • Once the league stage is over, the playoffs will feature the top 4 teams.
  • The standings will be updated daily based upon the conclusion of every game.
