Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Rajasthan Royals opener, has been in a terrific form in IPL 2023, scoring 125 runs in three matches, including two fifties. In an interview with PTI, Jaiswal talked about how his excellent performance in domestic cricket has helped him gain amazing confidence to start well in IPL 2023.
Jaiswal has been a standout performer in domestic cricket, scoring 315 runs at an average of 45 from five Ranji Trophy games, including a highest score of 162. He also smacked 213 for the Rest of India against Madhya Pradesh in the Irani Cup in early March this year.
Jaiswal also shared his experience of batting alongside England’s white-ball skipper, Jos Buttler. He said that Buttler has been a great influence on him, teaching him the importance of good intent and cricketing shots in the powerplay.

Speaking about his team’s performance so far, Jaiswal said that the Royals are trying to replicate the things they did when they made the finals last year. He highlighted the importance of everyone being aware of their roles and supporting each other to achieve one goal.
The Royals are set to face off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 12 in Chennai. With RR placed second and CSK fifth on the points table currently, the match is a crucial one for both teams.
