IPL 2023: Sehwag Urges Kohli and Gambhir to Improve Conduct, Calls for Strict Action from BCCI to Curb Similar Incidents

Former Player Virender Sehwag Urges BCCI to Take Strict Action against Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir for Altercation - Says They're Setting a Bad Example for Young Players.

The recent altercation between former India teammates Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir has sparked a conversation about player behavior in cricket. In response to the conflict, Virender Sehwag, who played alongside Kohli and Gambhir during his five years of international cricket, has urged them to act with better conduct, citing their status as icons in Indian cricket.

Sehwag pointed out that the millions of young players and fans in the nation closely follow the actions of Kohli and Gambhir, and their behavior sets an example for others. He believes that if the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) started suspending players for instances like this, such events would become less frequent.

The BCCI has already fined both Kohli and Gambhir 100% of their match fees, but Sehwag believes that stricter action is necessary to curb such incidents.
