IPL 2023 | WATCH: Gautam Gambhir’s Unique Celebrations after LSG’s Last-Over Triumph over RR Goes Viral

Mentor Gautam Gambhir’s reserved reaction and soft smile after Lucknow Super Giants' 10-run win over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2023 leaves fans surprised.

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), is known for his enthusiastic celebrations following a hard-fought victory. After LSG secured an unusual win against the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, he expressed his joy in a distinctive way. Gambhir’s celebratory moves following LSG’s previous victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore had gone viral on social media.

This time, however, his celebrations were different. Gambhir has served as a mentor for LSG for the previous two seasons and played a crucial role in directing and guiding the team towards success. The team hopes to win their maiden IPL title this season under his leadership.

In a recent IPL match, LSG defeated Rajasthan Royals by 10 runs with the help of Avesh Khan’s three wickets and Marcus Stoinis’ two. Although Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler gave RR the perfect start, they kept losing wickets regularly, and a late surge from Devdutt Pallikal was not enough. LSG reached a challenging total of 154/7, thanks to vital contributions from KL Rahul, Nicholas Pooran, Kyle Mayers, and Gambhir himself, who scored yet another half-century. Ravichandran Ashwin was the best bowler for RR with two wickets.

In the pictures of Gambhir’s unique celebrations after LSG’s win, he stands up from his seat in the dugout after Avesh Khan’s final delivery, which Ashwin pulled for a single. He then proceeds to shake hands with each person and smiled slightly the entire time.

Gambhir’s reserved reaction and soft smile after LSG’s 10-run victory puzzled fans, as the match did not go down to the last ball. However, since RR was in the hunt until the third delivery of the final over and had their noses in front until at least the 15th over, Gambhir’s reaction may have been one of relief and satisfaction after a hard-fought win.

Gambhir’s unique celebrations after LSG’s last-over triumph over RR in IPL 2023 have gone viral on social media, once again demonstrating his passion and enthusiasm for the game.
