Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s captaincy and batting are both shining in IPL 2023. A day earlier, under the captaincy of Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings defeated RCB after scoring 226 runs at their home. Dhoni did not need much batting in this match. In this season, Dhoni has played just 28 balls in 5 innings and has scored 59 runs at a strike rate of 211. Dhoni has also hit 6 sixes.

Seeing Dhoni’s power hitting, every bowler is scared of him. His fellow bowler Deepak Chahar is also included in this. A glimpse of this was seen in the match against RCB on Monday.

In the match against RCB, Mahendra Singh Dhoni came out to bat in the last over. Dhoni was doing shadow batting practice in the dugout before getting on the field. Dhoni’s full attention was on his drill. He did not pay attention to where he was swinging the bat. Dhoni swung the bat rapidly and it came near to Deepak Chahar’s head who was sitting near him.

Due to this, Deepak Chahar got scared and immediately ran away from his place. However, despite this, Dhoni’s attention did not go towards Deepak.

Dhoni came out to play after the dismissal of Ravindra Jadeja in the match against RCB. He faced only 2 balls. He played the fifth ball and came to the non-striker’s end with 1 run. In this match, Shivam Dubey and Devon Conway played stormy innings for CSK. Dubey had scored 52 runs in 27 balls. He had hit 5 sixes. RCB team could score 218 runs chasing the target of 227 runs and lost the match. This was RCB’s third defeat in this season.
