After being 4/3 in the first three overs, the Rajasthan Royals looked completely out of the match while chasing a huge target of 178 runs in yesterday’s match against Gujarat Titans. However, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer hit brilliant half-centuries to take Rajasthan over the line with four balls to spare. Samson blasted Rashid Khan for three consecutive sixes in his 60-run knock. However, he was out before the Royals could register the victory. In the last five overs, it was the Hetmyer show. The West Indian finisher finished the game for the Royals with valuable assists from Dhruv Jurel and Ravichandran Ashwin.
The stunning runs of Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer enabled Rajasthan Royals to make a fantastic comeback and win the game by three wickets against Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. Gujarat Titans got the best possible start in the second innings while defending a target of 178, as skipper Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami destroyed the lethal combo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler with scores of 1(7) and 0 (5), respectively.

Earlier in the match, Trent Boult dismissed opener Wriddhiman Saha on the third ball of the first over to give the Royals a blazing start. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan then led the charge, slamming Boult for 13 runs. Sudharsan was then run out in the fifth over of the innings while attempting to take a run. Hardik Pandya, Gujarat’s captain, then came out to bat. The Gujarat batsman rotated the strike superbly and a flourish from David Miller at the end ensured that Titans end up with 177 runs on the board.
