Following this KKR spin trio of Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, and Suyash Sharma went through the RCB batting line-up and helped their team complete a victory by 81 runs in the match.

Shardul Thakur scored 68 off 29 balls and registered his maiden half-century in the tournament, and Rinku Singh contributed a valuable 46 off 33 to help KKR register a huge total of 204 runs. For RCB, David Willey was the pick of the bowlers, with 2 wickets for just 16 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
Chasing 205 runs, RCB needed a few good partnerships to get over the line, but the KKR spinners rattled their entire batting line-up. Virat Kohli was the first one to go back as he was bowled out by Sunil Narine. Faf du Plessis was out in the same fashion on the bowling of Varun Chakravarthy. After that it was a huge collapse and RCB was all out for 123 runs in just 17.3 overs.
