The IPL mini-auction is scheduled to take place at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, marking a historic move as it is the first time the IPL auction will be held outside India. The player registration deadline closed on November 30, and with 1166 players enlisted, including 830 Indian players and 336 overseas contenders, preparations are underway for the IPL Auction 2024. This diverse pool comprises 212 capped players, 909 uncapped players, and 45 from ICC associate nations. Ahead of the 2024 IPL season, set to commence in March, all ten IPL teams have revealed their rosters, featuring retained and released players.
The inclusion of prominent players such as Travis Head, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Daryl Mitchell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lockie Ferguson, Shardul Thakur has heightened the excitement for the upcoming auction, promising a thrilling and electrifying event.
