IPL Auction 2024: Players With Rs 1.5 Crore Base Price

The forthcoming mini-auction for the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season is slated to transpire on December 19 in Dubai, marking a historic shift as the first instance of such an event taking place outside India. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL governing council have not yet officially confirmed the details, reports indicate that a substantial number of 1,166 players have registered for the auction.

Among the notable highlights is the presence of 20 foreign cricketers who have enlisted themselves with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Noteworthy names include Tim Southee and Wanindu Hasaranga, both released by Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2024 auction. Hasaranga, particularly valued for his all-round abilities, stands out as a genuine wicket-taker and a contributor in crucial moments, enhancing his prospects in securing a team placement.

The list of players opting for the maximum base price of Rs 1.5 crore includes familiar names such as Mohammad Nabi, Daniel Worrall, Tom Curran, Dawid Malan, Chris Lynn, Kane Richardson, and others. These players present an array of skills that make them sought-after prospects for franchises aiming to bolster their squads.

As the cricketing community gears up for this unique auction, comprehensive guidelines and increased public awareness are crucial to navigate the evolving landscape of digital transactions.
