    The cricketing extravaganza is back with a bang as the Indian Premier League (IPL) gears up for its 2024 auction. With a record-breaking 333 players set to go under the hammer, this auction promises to be a spectacle like never before. Here’s everything you need to know about the IPL Auction 2024.

    Date and Venue

    The IPL Auction 2024 is scheduled to take place on December 19, Tuesday. Interestingly, this will mark the first time in IPL history that the auction is being held outside of India. The venue for this edition is the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, adding an international flavor to the much-anticipated event.

    Start Time

    The action kicks off at 1 PM IST, so make sure you mark your calendars and set your alarms to catch all the live updates as the franchises battle it out to secure their desired players.

    Where to Watch

    The IPL Auction 2024 will be broadcasted on the Star Sports Network, ensuring that fans across the country can witness the excitement unfold on their television screens. However, for those on the go or preferring to watch on their phones or laptops, the auction will be available for streaming on Jio Cinema.

    Players Under the Hammer

    A whopping 333 players are slated to go under the hammer, creating an intense bidding war among the 10 IPL franchises. With 77 slots to be filled, the auction promises to be a battleground for securing the best talents, from seasoned international players to promising young stars.

    Each franchise enters the auction with a specified purse to make their bids. Here’s a glimpse of the purse left per team:

    – CSK (Chennai Super Kings): INR 31.4 crore

    – DC (Delhi Capitals): INR 28.95 crore

    – GT (Gujarat Titans): INR 38.15 crore

    – KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders): INR 32.7 crore

    – LSG (Lucknow Super Giants): INR 13.15 crore

    – MI (Mumbai Indians): INR 17.75 crore

    – PBKS (Punjab Kings): INR 29.1 crore

    – RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore): INR 23.25 crore

    – RR (Rajasthan Royals): INR 14.5 crore

    – SRH (SunRisers Hyderabad): INR 34 crore
