According to a report in ‘The Age’, representatives of the Saudi Arabian government have proposed plans to the IPL franchise owners to set-up a T20 franchise league in the Gulf region. The government of Saudi Arabia wants to make this league the most expensive league in the world. In this regard, his conversation with the IPL owners is going on. For the last year, the Saudi government has been working on this plan.

For the success of this expensive league, the Saudi government would like to include Indian cricketers as well. Significantly, according to BCCI rules, no Indian cricketer can be a part of other cricket leagues running abroad other than IPL.
If any Indian player wants to be a part of these leagues, then he will have to end all his relations with the BCCI. Here the Saudi government can convince the BCCI to amend its constitution.
