Saurav Ganguly, the former chairman of BCCI and the former Indian captain, has said that let Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid decide about the inclusion of Ishan Kishan in the Indian playing XI in ODIs. A great debate started on social media when Ishan Kishan was dropped from the first ODI against Sri Lanka after scoring a double century in his previous knock.
When Saurav Ganguly was asked about Ishan Kishan’s inclusion in ODIs he replied, “I don’t know… It’s difficult for me to say. In India, we have too many opinions, let (head coach) Rahul Dravid and (skipper) Rohit Sharma decide. People who actually play the game should actually decide who’s the best.”
Ishan Kishan has missed out even in the 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka despite KL Rahul only scoring only thirty-plus in the 1st ODI. Venkatesh Prasad, a former Indian pacer, has recently blasted the Indian cricket team management for not including Ishan Kishan in the playing XI.
Venkatesh Prasad even said that Indian cricket team management is unnecessarily favouring KL Rahul over other wicketkeeper batters in India. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are receiving a lot of flak for their controversial decision.
