Born in Taunton, England, on June 22, 1991, Jack Leach spent his formative years attending Trinity School, Bishop Fox’s School, and Richard Huish College, all located in Taunton. Notably, he initially worked at a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Taunton, handling trolleys. At the age of 14, Leach was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, a condition that he has courageously managed throughout his life.
Leach’s cricket journey took shape when he graduated from the Somerset County Cricket Club academy in the summer of 2010, leading to the signing of a professional contract with Somerset. His early cricketing experiences included representing Dorset County Cricket Club in the 2010 Minor Counties Cricket Championship, where he played a pivotal role in securing victory in the final against Lincolnshire.
