Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will commence their IPL 2024 journey on March 23 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. This match will mark the third fixture of the tournament and the second match of the opening double-header. KKR went all-out to claim the services of Australian champion speedster Mitchell Starc, which they did by shelling out a whopping sum of INR 24.75 Crore in the IPL auction 2024.
Following their clash with SRH, KKR will head to the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore to face familiar rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 29. Four days later, they will square off against Delhi Capitals in Vizag. The initial matches for the Rishabh Pant-led side will not be held at their home ground, the Arun Jaitely Stadium in the capital, as it requires some preparation time following the conclusion of the Women’s Premier League 2024.
Having finished seventh in the table last season under the leadership of stand-in captain Nitish Rana, two-time champions KKR are set for a boost with the return of Shreyas Iyer and the addition of legendary captain Gautam Gambhir as the team mentor, working alongside head coach Chandrakant Pandit. Here’s a look at their Kolkata Knight Riders schedule for IPL 2024, including match dates, venues, and timings.
