Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be against the likes of Indian players- Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara and Prasidh Krishna in the warm-up match scheduled between India and Leicestershire before India’s Test match against England.
The Indian team is currently on tour to England and will face off the English line-up for the fifth and final Test of the series from 1st July 2022. The last Test of the series was postponed due to a covid scare.
Currently, the Indian team is leading the series by 2-1 and has a chance of registering a Test series victory against England in England after 15 long years. The players of the Indian squad reached the English soil on Sunday and since then have been practising for the last Test match.

When and where the Warm-up Game against Leicestershire will be played?
BCCI and the ECB have arranged a four-day warm-up game for India against Leicestershire, which will begin from 3:30 PM IST on 24th June 2022. The match will provide the Indian team with insight into English conditions. Meanwhile, England will be playing their final Test against New Zealand.
The warm-up match between India and Leicestershire will be played at Grace Road Cricket Ground. Unfortunately, the game will not be streamed by any Indian channel on television. However, one can visit the official YouTube channel of Leicestershire Cricket Country Club to watch the live stream of the game. The channel name is Foxes TV.

Each side to field 13 players:
India is currently travelling with a 16-man squad to England for the Test. Therefore to provide game time to almost all of the players, BCCI, LCCC, and ECB have agreed that a few Indian players can represent Leicestershire in the warm-up game. With this, the actual number of players a team can field has risen to 13.
Wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant, India’s reliable number three Cheteshwar Pujara and Bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna, will play for LCCC in the warm-up game.
