Maxwell Patrick O’Dowd, born on March 4, 1994, is a Dutch cricketer who has represented the Netherlands national cricket team since his debut in June 2015. Known for his right-handed opening batting style, O’Dowd has participated in three editions of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup while proudly wearing the Dutch colors.

His father, Alex O’Dowd, made a name for himself in New Zealand’s first-class cricket, representing Auckland and Northern Districts. He also contributed to club cricket in the Netherlands, coaching and playing for HBS Craeyenhout.
Max O’Dowd possesses a Dutch passport, inherited through his mother. He spent his formative years in the Netherlands, residing there until the age of twelve. Subsequently, he returned to Auckland and enrolled at Westlake Boys High School.
