Melbourne Stars vs Perth Scorchers Head to Head Records and Stats

The Stars and Scorchers will face off at the MCG on Wednesday, both eager to secure their first victory in BBL|13.

The new Stars coach, Peter Moores, faced a disappointing start to the season as his team suffered a significant setback, losing 8 wickets for 62 runs and getting all out for 111 in a 103-run defeat against the Heat at the Gabba. This loss marked the Stars’ third consecutive defeat in the opening match of the BBL season over the past three years.

Interestingly, rain has been the only factor able to halt the Scorchers’ winning streak, as evidenced by the abandoned match in Geelong on Sunday due to a dangerous pitch – the first time they failed to secure full points in their last five matches.

Despite the absence of Ashton Agar, who is still recovering from injury, and the inclusion of Mitch Marsh and Lance Morris in the Test side, the Scorchers continue to field lineups capable of defeating any team. Fans can expect a formidable performance from them against the Stars on Wednesday.
