Before their encounter on Monday in the HBL Pakistan Super League 2023 at the Multan Cricket Stadium, the opposing captains, Shaheen Shah Afridi of the Lahore Qalandars and Mohammad Rizwan of the Multan Sultans, conducted press conferences.

The first ball will be bowled at 8 p.m. after the toss for the HBL PSL 8 opening. Both teams will then hold post-game press conferences.

The HBL PSL 8 opening ceremony will take place prior to the start of the Multan Sultans vs Lahore Qalandars match. The performances of Abdullah Siddiqui, Asim Azhar, Faris Shafi, and Shae Gill, the singers of the HBL PSL 8 anthem, will be one of the ceremony’s main draws.

Lahore Qalandars will defend the championship they won on March 19 at the Gaddafi Stadium, when they defeated Multan Sultans by 42 runs. 34 games will be played, with five being held in Multan, nine each in Karachi and Lahore, and eleven in Rawalpindi.
