Mushfiqur Rahim, born on May 9, 1987, in Bogra, Bangladesh, is the son of Mahbub Habib and Rahima Khatun. He completed his secondary education at Bogra Zilla School. Mushfiqur Rahim faced criticism for an incident during the eliminator match of the Bangabandhu T20 Cup. In this match, both Mushfiqur Rahim and his teammate, Nasum Ahmed, were converging towards the same catch. Fortunately, they managed to avoid a collision, and Mushfiqur Rahim successfully took the catch. However, his reaction was visibly agitated, and he threatened physical confrontation with his teammate.
A video capturing this incident quickly went viral on Twitter. Subsequently, Mushfiqur Rahim extended an apology to his teammate. In response to this behavior, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) imposed a 25% fine on Mushfiqur Rahim’s match fees and issued one demerit point as a disciplinary measure. Mushfiqur Rahim has supported her in these tough times.
