Hardik Pandya bowled an exceptional spell in the 2nd ODI against New Zealand and picked 2 wickets. He only gave away 16 runs in his overs and bowled three maidens. His first wicket came with a breathtaking follow through catch of New Zealand opener Devon Conway.
Pandya and company bowled out the Blackcaps for just 108 runs in the 2nd ODI. In the mid inning interview Hardik Pandya reflected upon his performance and fitness and shared what he feels about his health at the moment.
He said, “A brilliant day to be honest, we used the wicket rightly and everything went well for us. That wasn’t bad at all (on the return catch), my body is feeling better with every match, it’s coming on nicely and timely as well.”
“We hit the right areas, kept testing the batters, one of those days when the edges went to the fielders and we grabbed the catches. This isn’t a 108-run wicket, but we took all our chances, Let the batters decide on how to bat, at the end of the day, it’s their call on how to chase this down,” Pandya added further.
There was a lot of noise around Hardik Pandya’s match fitness and his today’s performance will surely help silence critics for a good amount of time.
