Team India’s 15 man provisional squad for ODI World Cup 2023 has been revealed and Suryakumar Yadav has pipped Sanju Samson for a place in the squad. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have also found a place and Ishan Kishan has retained his spot from the Asia Cup squad to the World Cup squad.

Team India Squad for ICC ODI World Cup 2023:

Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan (wk), KL Rahul (wk), Hardik Pandya (vice-captain), Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav

Team India’s Predicted Number 4 for ODI World Cup 2023:

Shreyas Iyer is expected to occupy the fourth place in the batting position. He is an able player of spin and India would need him to take on the opposition’s spinning attack in the middle overs. Iyer’s role is going to be quite crucial as he would need to attack while also defending his wicket.

Team India’s Predicted Number 5 for ODI World Cup 2023:

KL Rahul is expected to get the number 5 slot instead of Ishan Kishan. Rahul is a much better player in the middle overs than Ishan Kishan. He has proven his skills in the past and Rohit Sharma would definitely want him to make the number five his spot in the upcoming World Cup.

Team India’s Predicted Number 6 for ODI World Cup 2023:

Number 6 is a no brainer as Hardik Pandya is definitely going to bat at this spot. Suryakumar Yadav would miss out due to not having all-round abilities which could match the talent of Pandya.
