New Zealand will face Afghanistan in the Group C match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Providence Stadium, Georgetown. After a lengthy build-up, New Zealand aims for a strong start, relying on key players like Kane Williamson, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, and Glenn Phillips for batting, and experienced bowlers Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Mitchell Santner, and Ish Sodhi for support. Afghanistan began their campaign impressively with a 125-run victory over Uganda, thanks to explosive batting from openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran, who set a formidable total of 183 runs. Fazalhaq Farooqi’s exceptional five-wicket haul then dismantled Uganda for just 58 runs.
