Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has called upon Indian fans to show unwavering positivity and support for Team India during the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. He believes that the team will greatly benefit from the encouragement and positivity of the fans throughout the tournament.
Scheduled to take place in India during October-November, the ICC World Cup 2023 will witness ten teams competing for cricket’s prestigious title. India, being the home team, holds a strong position as one of the favorites to clinch the championship.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ashwin urged fans to rally behind Team India with full positivity during the ICC World Cup 2023.
“All teams aim to win the tournament. If we don’t win the World Cup, we move on, but if we emerge victorious, we celebrate their success. What I am asking is, as we enter the 2023 World Cup, let’s support the team with abundant positivity,” Ashwin expressed.
He acknowledged that winning a World Cup is a challenging task and emphasized the importance of not being overly critical in hindsight. Ashwin pointed out that India has consistently reached the semi-finals of major events, and on those crucial days, they fell just short of success.

Ashwin also emphasized that the Indian team works extremely hard and deserves to feel the backing of their fans during the ICC World Cup 2023.
“What do we need to be successful on those days? We need plenty of positivity. The players should feel that the public is behind them, supporting their every move, allowing them to execute their skills confidently on the field.
“The hard work put in by the Indian team is unmatched in the world. The dedication they show during practice sessions and in the gym is incredible,” the off-spinner added passionately.
With the tournament set to unfold on home soil, Ashwin’s plea for positive support resonates with the belief that an uplifting atmosphere can galvanize the team’s performance and propel them towards victory.
