Rehan Ahmed, born on 13 August 2004, is an emerging English cricketer. He marked his international debut against Pakistan on 17 December 2022, becoming the youngest English male Test debutant at just 18 years and 126 days. Notably, on the third day of the match, he achieved the distinction of being the youngest debutant to take five wickets in an innings in men’s Tests. Rehan Ahmed’s father, Naeem Ahmed, originally born in Pakistan, was a former cricketer who played as a fast-bowling all-rounder before relocating to England. Notably, Rehan’s cricketing lineage extends to his brothers, Farhan and Raheem, who are also actively involved in the sport.
Rehan’s cricket journey started in the youth set up at Nottinghamshire, but he made a significant move to Leicestershire in 2017.
